JAPAN KARATE ASSOCIATION OF ENGLAND
JKA England is a prestigious karate association which is recognised by the Japanese Government and affiliated to the JKA (Japan Karate Association) .
It is the largest karate organisation and one of the most influential Shotokan karate organizations in the world. It is also one of the oldest karate organizations to have operated continuously until the present day.The JKA is the keeper of the karate highest tradition.
JKA England celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2013!
The head of the JKA England is Sensei Yoshinobu Ohta. Sensei Ohta has worked very hard during the last 17 years to make the JKAE a strong association.
The association has around 3000 members and it teaches the traditional Japanese Karate style Shotokan.
Every year the JKAE holds National and International Courses.
In the National Courses Dan Grading is conducted by Sensei Ohta and the Technical Committe.
In the international courses the karateka (students) get a superb opportunity to train with the world’s best Japanese karate instructors, who come specially to England not only to teach in the JKAE International Courses, but also to conduct along with Sensei Ohta, the Dan Grading ( Black Belt tests).
