Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club was represented in the JKA National Championships on Saturday 17th June 2023 by amazing and dedicated members who brought back 30 medals: Gold, Silver & Bronze in Kata, Kumite & Team Kata!!!

Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club was honoured to be invited to participate again in Petts Wood May Fayre Parade.

 

Sensei Shahinaz , Sensei Patrick and members from Bromley & South East London  JKA Karate Club attended the JKA England Spring International Course at Crawley on 29th April, 30th April & 1st May 2023!!! 

The course was conducted by Sensei Ogura (8th Dan), Sensei Hakizume (3rd Dan) & Sensei Ohta ( 7th Dan).

Many Congratulations for our dedicated and talented member Vicky for passing with excellence her black belt grading exam!

The exam was conducted by an examiners panel headed by JKA England Chief Instructor Sensei Ohta, 7th dan.

Vicky’s performance was brilliant!!!

Sensei Shahinaz & Sensei Patrick are very proud of her fantastic performance!  

Vicky trains regularly and worked very hard in preparation for her Sho dan grading!

Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club was honoured to host the  JKA England Regional Course! 

The course was very successful and very well attended!

Fantastic and energetic three hour training sessions with Sensei Ohta & members from the JKA England Technical Committee.

All JKA England who were lucky enough to attend the course, enjoyed it and definitely learnt a lot & had a great time!!!

Everyone Is Having a Good Time!!!

Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club was honoured to be invited to participate in the Petts Wood May Fayre Parade.

Many congratulations to Sensei Shahinaz Pelter, Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club Chief Instructor for obtaining the prestigious JKA  International C Qualification in both Instructing and Refereeing at the JKA  Spring International Course that took place in May 2022!!!

The practial and written exams were conducted by a very high level Japanese panel: Sensei Imamura (8th Dan), Sensei Sawada (8th Dan) , Sensei Shimizu (6th Dan) &  Sensei Ohta (7th Dan). 

Sensei Shahinaz Pelter is the first JKA England Lady Chief Instructor to hold JKA International  C Qualifications in  Instucting, Refereeing and D in Examining! 

This is a Fantastic Achievement for Sensei Shahinaz, Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club & JKA England!!!

Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club nominated Catherine for the JKA England Dylan Award and the nomination was successful!

Catherine has always had great sympathy for unwell children and was keen to do something to help them so she decided to donate a long length of her very long and thick hair, that she is very proud of, to “The Little Princes Trust Charity”. The trust ”provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions’’.

A very kind and generous act on Catherine’s part!

Catherine received her well deserved Dylan Award at the JKA England Spring International Course in May 2022!

Bromley & South East London JKA Karate Club was honoured to host the First JKA England Regional Course after the National Lockdown was lifted.

The course was very successful and all the course tickets run out very quickly!

Our fantastic  junior members Talvin Chahal & Samuel Gilham received their well earned Sho Dan (Black Belt) dimploma from Sensei Ohta.

Both Talvin & Sam  passed brilliantly their Black Belt in Basics, Kata & Kumite. 

Their Sho Dan diploma certificate was issued from the JKA  Headquarter  in Tokyo and registered in Japan!
